Media company unveils £1.3m HQ revamp

Digital print, brand and media company Springfield Solutions has invested £1.3m in its Hull headquarters.

The investment at the Thomas Street site #PrintWorks has doubled the size of its digital print operation. Size-wise, this has increased the building size from 20,000 to 26,000 sq ft.

It took over the building adjacent to its existing print room, which had previously belonged to the same printing company which closed before Springfield’s tenure.

Springfield has seen significant growth since 2014, printing 100m labels that year, to 175m last year.

The company was founded in 1975 as a one man band. It now employs 100 people.

Dennis Ebeltoft, joint managing director of Springfield Solutions, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be unveiling our new #PrintWorks digital print room, which heralds the next chapter in Springfield Solution’s incredible story.

“#PrintWorks is the culmination of many things: a history of innovation across all divisions of the business and special thank you to our sister company Eon Visual Media for their role in that; fantastic loyal staff, many of whom go above and beyond every day, constantly striving for improvement in everything that we do, and all our business partners that have assisted us on our journey.

“These are the values that have fuelled our growth over recent years, and ultimately led to the opening of our #PrintWorks development.”
