People: Deloitte hire for printing specialist; Promotion at ticketing company BemroseBooth Paragon; and more

Specialist printing house Print-Leeds has strengthened its digital print and management team with three appointments, including a recruit from Deloitte, bringing the total number of staff to 39.

Richard Tandy and Adam Rider have joined the digital print team – Tandy as an account manager in digital sales and Rider as a digital print operator. Meanwhile Isobel Hainsworth-Brear, formerly of Deloitte, has joined the management team as a director.

Tandy joined Print-Leeds from Bluetree Design & Print where he managed the POS channel. At Print-Leeds he is responsible for the sales strategy of the POS division, client liaison and business development, negotiating client contracts, project management and technical reviews.

Rider joined the firm from Dominion Digital Print. He also has 18 years’ experience in the printing industry starting in screen printing, moving to litho and then digital.
Hainsworth-Brear has joined Print-Leeds from Deloitte where she was clients and markets lead for Yorkshire and the North East. She will be heading up the marketing function and working on a number of special projects for the management team.

BemroseBooth Paragon, the car parking and transport ticketing specialist based in Hull, has announced that Ryan Mellors has been promoted to vice president of global sales – parking.

Following significant growth in North America, South America and Canada, Mellors will make these territories a focus, extending current client requirements while also targeting new business opportunities.

Sales and marketing director for BemroseBooth Paragon, Richard Farmer, said: “Recent years have seen us secure a strong foothold within the North American parking ticket market. We’ve worked hard and that commitment is now paying off. Ryan is an excellent example of the talent we have in our team and I’m looking forward to working more closely with him as we take our export business to the next level.”

BemroseBooth Paragon has supplied magnetic tickets for car parking and global rail services for more than 100 years.

Magna has appointed a new business development manager to help drive growth in the venue’s conference facilities and events offering.

Ian Linley’s focus will be to promote Magna as a first-class venue to corporate clients, exhibitors and conference organisers across the UK. He will also work with partners to promote the venue’s science visitor attraction to families across Yorkshire.

John Silker, chief executive at Magna, said: “Ian joins us with a wealth of experience within the hospitality industry, and is a great addition to the team. We’re delighted to have secured his expertise and are confident that he will contribute to what is already a bright future here at Magna.”

Magna, housed in the former Templeborough Steelworks near junction 34 of the M1, has hosted corporate clients including Mercedes, Royal Mail, Kia Motors and HSBC.

The venue has a dedicated events team and offers, in-house catering facilities for a range of events from product launches, conferences, concerts and sporting events, to theatre shows, presentations, exhibitions, drinks receptions and weddings.
