Insurance firm expands with opening of new office

More jobs could follow as expansion gathers pace

A Black Country insurance broker is expanding its UK presence with the opening of a new branch in Yorkshire.

Dudley-based Gravity Risk Services has selected Bradford as the base for its new operation.

The company, based in Priory Road, has been steadily growing for five years and over the past six months has taken on four new staff to bolster specific areas of the business.

The new Bradford branch, in Thornbury Road, will provide bespoke business-to-business insurance packages to firms in the area.

The expansion has been made possible after the firm attracted senior personnel from competitors.

The company has also taken on extra staff to oversee a new Orbit Claims Service arm of the business which will provide a specialist claims service to clients preparing sizeable loss claims.

The firm believes the new service could eventually triple its number of clients.

Dale Collett, director at Gravity Risk Services, said: “We’re excited about the Bradford branch because that will allow us to tap into new clients in the north using proven, experienced and qualified advisors.

“Orbit Claims will provide an exclusive additional service which is important to us in continuing to expand our services in order to further assist our clients.”

Gravity Risk Services, which started life in a garage five years ago, has grown its workforce to 15 with the new jobs created. It predicts further jobs could follow as expansion gathers pace.
