Whole new deal for Yorlife Kefir

Yorlife kefir, produced by the makers of Yorvale Ice Cream, are celebrating success after winning a listing with a London based distributor.

The York-based company are joining forces with Marigold Health Foods to supply international retailer Whole Food Markets across the UK.

The new business, which comes after a bumper first year for the brand, is set to further expand their presence in the south of the country.

Yorlife kefir, a fermented milk drink made on the family farm in Yorkshire, is famed for its powerful probiotic properties.  Kefir has been consumed for centuries to aid digestion and improve gut health. It has recently seen a resurgence in popularity thanks to coverage on the BBC’s Trust Me I’m a Dr which proved that of several products tested, kefir was the most effective in promoting good gut bacteria.

Lesley Buxton, owner of Yorlife, said of the new business: “We are so excited to be working with Whole Foods, not only are they a nationally recognised brand and fantastic retailer, their commitment to natural, wholesome products and ingredients is some we are really passionate about.”

Yorlife kefir is made using live cultures and 100% natural fruit purees to create their three flavours, Natural, Mango & Passion Fruit and Blueberry & Elderflower,  which has already been awarded a Great Taste Award.

Yorlife have already won contracts to supply all LEON restaurants in London with both flavoured lines of their kefir and are also listed with Scottish based distributor, Greencity Wholefoods.
