Traffic Alert: Long delays on M1 southbound

There are long delays on the M1 southbound due to an incident involving an overturned 4×4 collision with tractor and trailer

The incident on the M1 in South Yorkshire is causing long delays between J38 and J37.

The ongoing incident involves an over turned 4×4 and trailer carrying a tractor, and currently 2 lanes of 3 are closed.

Road users are advised to allow extra time to complete their journey plans if travelling in this direction or seek an alternative route. Road users heading south from the north are advised to consider using the M62 and A1 (A1(M) as an alternative.

Normal traffic conditions are expected between 17:15 and 17:30 on 23 June 2017.

There are currently delays of 1 and a half hours against expected traffic.
