The Ivy to launch in Leeds

Plans have been submitted for a new brasserie in Leeds belonging to the group behind London’s The Ivy.

If approved, The Ivy Brasserie would be located in the Victoria Quarter, converting three properties at the entrance into a 195-cover restaurant.

Plans were submitted earlier this month by GVA for the site at Vicar Lane.

This will be the third site for The Ivy group in Yorkshire after submitting plans for sites in Harrogate and York.

The Victoria Leeds scheme includes Hammerson’s £165m Victoria Gate development, and between them the Victoria sites have retail and dining residents including Cau, newly opened Japanese restaurant Issho, John Lewis, Karen Millen and more.

The focus on high-end brands came to a head with the launch of Victoria Gate last year, and now the Victoria Leeds scheme consists of 574,745 sq ft of retail space.
