Manufacturer secures multi-million pound national supply contract to fire services

A manufacturer of emergency services equipment is celebrating a contract worth around £6m to exclusively supply its helmets to firefighters nationally.

The HEROS-titan helmet, designed by Holmfirth-based Rosenbauer UK, was selected as the “fire helmet of choice” as part of a newly-awarded Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) contract to Bristol Uniforms.

Thecontract win means that Rosenbauer UK’s HEROS-titan helmet will be accessible to every fire and rescue service across the UK.

Gareth Johns, Rosenbauer UK equipment specialist, said: “We’re delighted to be awarded as the fire helmet of choice as part of this contract which looks set to serve a large portion of the UK PPE market.

“We worked tirelessly throughout the trial processes to ensure Bristol’s high standards were met. We’re now looking forward to working as efficiently as possible with them and continuing to ensure maximal performance and comfort for the country’s firefighters, whilst providing the highest protection level.”

Oliver North, Rosenbauer UK’s managing director, added: “Firefighter helmets formed the nucleus of our emergence as a company into the UK Fire & Rescue sector with the HEROS-xtreme, long before we started growing UK Appliance market share.

“This means our fire helmet is always prioritised to the same level as our world-class truck portfolio. It is also why our evolution since 2005 as a reliable helmet supplier is now at its peak with the most experienced and reliable team backing up what I truly believe to be the best fire helmet on the global market, bar none.

“We’re relishing a strong and efficient working relationship with Bristol Uniforms as we look forward to commencing the roll-outs and ensuring the back-up and service remains at the highest achievable standard.”
