Specialist law firm to open 11th office
Specialist firm Stowe Family Law is opening its 11th office in Beverley, East Yorkshire.
It has taken offices on the first floor of 22 Trinity Lane, in the town centre, with partner Chris Birch heading up the office.
Birch previously worked in the firm’s head office in Harrogate before opening the firm’s the Ilkley office in the summer of 2015.
The business has been expanding rapidly, with offices from Tunbridge Wells to Harrogate, with other Yorkshire offices in Leeds, Wetherby and Ilkley.
Founded 30 years ago, it now has a team of 100 staff across its offices.
The Beverley office will also include an in-house forensic accountancy team. Led by Chartered Accountant Nick White, the forensic team specialise in analysing financial disclosure, valuing businesses, tracking down hidden assets and assisting with cases involving business structures, both in the UK and overseas.
In February 2017, private equity firm Livingbridge bought a majority stake in the Stowe Family Law Group, for more than £10m. It was founded by Marilyn Stowe 30 years ago, who is best known for handling all types of matrimonial disputes alongside her work freeing Sally Clark, the mother wrongly jailed for the murder of her two sons in 1999 in one of Britain’s most famous miscarriages of justice.
