Plastics manufacturer invests in HQ expansion

Leeds plastics manufacturer ActionPlas has invested £1m in the expansion of its headquarters and growing staff numbers.

The Pudsey company is a speciality machinist and supplier of plastics and it has now expanded even further, growing its warehouse by 13,000 sq ft to 25,000 sq ft.

It specialises in the manufacture and supply of bespoke plastic components for the food and drink, automotive, pharmaceutical, and personal care industries in the UK and across Europe, and employs 22 people.

Further positions are due to be announced following the recent investments,which have also introduced new machinery.

The expansion into a new warehouse at the ActionPlas Grangefield Industrial Estate headquarters has grown both production and stock space.

Chris Wray, managing director at ActionPlas, said: “In line with our growth strategy and to meet an increasing demand for our products, we have made significant investment in our workplace, machinery and personnel to allow for increased output, shorter lead times and the ability to take on more work.”
