Tech company signs on to 27,000 sq ft pre-let scheme
Tech company SmartSearch is doubling its space at an Ilkley office development from developer Oakapple Group.
Oakapple has fully pre-let its 27,000 sq ft office development in Ilkley following the deal. It is the third and final letting at the scheme.
Oakapple has awarded the build contract to Skelmersdale based CPUK Limited. Construction work is well underway with practical completion due just prior to Christmas 2017.
Oakapple Group chairman, Philip Taylor, said: “It is great to have achieved a fully pre-let position and we are particularly pleased to have built on our relationship with SmartSearch”
Chief executive of SmartSearch, John Dobson, commented: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to build our corporate home in Ilkley, which will deliver growth and benefits for the business and the surrounding area.
“We anticipate a team of around 200 staff will be required to complete our current plans, many of whom will be recruited from the local communities.”
The lettings have been handled by Matthew Brear of Dacres and Roddy Morrison of Colliers.
