Office space launched at former council building as major refurbishment completes

Offices in Doncaster town centre once occupied by the council are soon to be available following the completion of a £2.3m renovation scheme.

Colonnades House on Duke Street has been revamped by Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council following its relocation to the Civic Centre in Waterdale.

The refurbishment is on the upper floors of Colonnades House and work includes a mechanical and electrical refit, new windows, refurbished lifts/toilet facilities and full redecoration of all parts, including the ground floor reception area. The layout is flexible and open plan, with floors two, three and four offering accommodation ranging from 7,000 sq ft to over 21,000 sq ft.

The Doncaster office of PPH Commercial has been appointed as letting agents.

Ian Brooks, director at the Doncaster office of PPH Commercial, said: “The offices present an excellent opportunity for businesses of various sizes to secure good quality office space in the town centre, with dedicated car parking opportunities available in the underground car park.

“Doncaster continues its growth as an important employment centre following construction of the National Rail College at Lakeside, completion of the Great Yorkshire Way rail link to Doncaster-Sheffield Airport and other recent infrastructure projects. It is hoped that the feeling of steady optimism within the town will bring forward interest in high quality buildings such as Colonnades House.”
