Airport hotel opens creating 50 jobs

An £8m Hampton by Hilton hotel has opened up at Humberside Airport, welcoming its first guests last week.

The development, managed by Leaf Hospitality, has created 50 jobs. It has 100 bedrooms and a 24-hour fitness.

The hotel has taken just over 18 months to build and Sam Teale, the general manager of the Hampton by Hilton Humberside Airport, said: “With the offer of meeting space, we hope that corporate clients and community groups from the surrounding villages will make full use of the facilities.

“Our doors will be open to non-residents looking for somewhere to enjoy a chat and a coffee or stage a meeting away from their office.

“We also expect our guests to be jetting off to holiday destinations from Humberside Airport or visiting one of the many renewables companies that are based in the region.”
