5 things to do in Yorkshire this weekend

B-Fest – Beer, Blues & Folk Festival
Head along to York Barbican this weekend for B-Fest. The venue have teamed up with the Society of Independent Brewers for the event and are aiming to showcase the very best real ale from Yorkshire and the North East. In fact, an impressive 200 of the region’s best craft ales will be served at the event. There will also be a whole host of local folk and blues artists and bands taking to the stage across Friday and Saturday. Find out more here.

City Beach at Millennium Square
Leeds’ city beach has returned for its fifth year, giving you the opportunity to enjoy all the fun of the  beach without having to leave the city. Taking place in Millennium Square, the event includes children’s rides and activities, including Miama Surf, as well as a beach style BBQ to enjoy. Head along to Lotherton Hall this weekend to immerse yourself in all things vintage. From homewares, small furniture and collectibles to fashion from the 1920s right through to the 1980s, this event is set to be a lot of fun for those who love the good old days. Kirkstall Fairy Tale Kingdom
Kirkstall Abbey are hosting a magical event this weekend that the kids are set to love. The kids’ favourite fairy tale characters are set to gather at the venue this weekend to celebrate the very best tales. As well as the opportunity for the kids to meet their favourite characters, there will also be a puppet show, tale trails, story-telling, dance classics, talent shows, face-painting, arts and crafts and much more for the family to enjoy. Castle Howard Proms
Enjoy a night to remember this weekend at Castle Howard. A classic concert, featuring Blake and rising soprano star Joanna Forest alongside London Gala Orchestra, is taking place on the North Lawn.
