Attractions operator adds to stable with theme park acquisition

York-based Continuum Attractions has acquired GreenWood Forest Park in Y Felinheli, North Wales as it continues to add to its growing UK-wide portfolio.

Other attractions owned by the business include York’s Chocolate Story, the Emmerdale Studio Tour and Village Tour in Leeds, The Canterbury Tales in Canterbury and Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth.

The family adventure park business was marketed for sale by GVA.

This follows a previous recent sale by GVA of North Yorkshire visitor attraction Lightwater Valley on behalf of Jersey-based Ball Investments to attractions operator Livingstone Leisure.

Juliana Delaney, chief executive of Continuum Attractions, said: “GreenWood Forest Park is a wonderful addition to Continuum’s growing UK-wide portfolio. We are extremely grateful to GVA for making Continuum aware of this opportunity and for ensuring the sale process ran smoothly.”

Richard Baldwin, director, at GVA, said: “Lightwater Valley and GreenWood Forest Park are two high quality assets. These significant transactions over the summer period continue to showcase the rude health of the alternative leisure markets and their potential as positive investment opportunities.”

GreenWood Forest Park is a TripAdvisor UK Top 10 Attraction and a North Wales Tourist Board Green and Innovation award-winner.
