Mark Butterworth

Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking has bolstered its support to mid-sized firms in Yorkshire with the appointment of two relationship directors.

Stuart Leslie and Mark Butterworth have joined the mid markets team, supporting Yorkshire businesses with turnovers of £25m-£750m.

Leslie has almost a decade’s experience with Lloyds Bank, previously working with larger organisations in the bank’s global corporates division based in London.

Meanwhile, Butterworth brings six years’ experience as relationship manager in Yorkshire to the team, and will continue to develop key transactions across South Yorkshire.

Steve Harris, regional director for Yorkshire at Lloyds Bank said: “The regional PMI index is showing a growing demand for Yorkshire firms’ goods and services, while South Yorkshire in particular is seeing high-profile manufacturers locating to the area and driving major investment in the region.

“With the current health of the local economy, it’s an exciting time for businesses that have many reasons to be optimistic for the year ahead. While firms take the current political and economic changes in their stride, it’s important they have a trusted adviser.

“The wealth of experience that Stuart and Mark bring to the Mid Markets team will make them valued advisers to businesses, which are driving the Northern Powerhouse and helping Britain prosper.”
