The new Yorkshire editor  of TheBusinessDesk.com has joined the team this week.

Kayley Worsley is based in the Leeds office and will focus on sourcing and delivering the region’s business news, taking the publication into its next decade.

TheBusinessDesk.com, which was founded by David Parkin in Yorkshire, recently marked its 10th anniversary with a successful networking BBQ in each of its regions. It now operates in four regions, with teams on the ground in the North West, West Midlands and East Midlands.

Worsley is a familiar face in Leeds City Region through her previous role as PR and public affairs manager at Leeds Bradford Airport.

A journalism graduate of the University of Sheffield, she worked for newspapers in the East Midlands and South Yorkshire before moving into public relations.

Worsley said: “It’s great to join the team here in Yorkshire and return to journalism. I am passionate about the region’s success and I very much look forward to building upon the already established relationships that TheBusinessDesk.com has with the business community.”

TheBusinessDesk.com’s Alex Turner added: “Kayley will be a real asset, adding her experience and knowledge to the team. We are looking forward to her making a real impact in the role.”
