Serviced office group signs up to landmark Leeds building

Growing serviced office group Wizu Workspace has taken 9,500 sq ft of office space at The Leeming Building in Leeds.

The Leeming Building is a Grade I-Listed office which sits next to the new Victoria Gate development and was constructed in 1904.

It has undergone a major refurbishment by owners Freshwater Group.

Mark Newton, director at TPS, development managers on behalf of Freshwater Group, said: “The latest letting to Wizu Workspace is testament to the unique style and quality of office space that we have been able to create within The Leeming Building, one of Leeds’ true architectural gems.”

The latest letting to Wizu Workspace follows a string of deals completed since the completion of phase one of the scheme in April, with a total of 75% of the space now let or under offer, attracting a range of businesses including design agencies, PR consultancies and media specialists.

Tom Almas, Wizu Workspace managing director, added: SME’s expectations and demands of flexible office space continue to grow and the Leeming Building more than delivers with the high level of fit out, fantastic mix of office sizes, high speed connectivity and hot desks in an iconic Grade 1 listed building”.

WSB Property Consultants represented Wizu Workspace on the acquisition and Sanderson Weatherall acted on behalf of Freshwater Group.
