People: NG Bailey welcomes defence operations director; deal maker appointed at DSW; and more

NG Bailey has appointed MoD veteran Tim Briggs-Mould to the position of Defence Operations Director to oversee the firm’s existing defence contracts..

Having served in the Royal Navy for 37 years, Briggs-Mould joins the business from the MoD where he has spent the last five years working as Head of the British Forces Cyprus CIS branch and Head of Information Systems and Services in Cyprus.

The defence sector is a key growth area for NG Bailey’s IT Services division, which specialises in the design, supply, installation, management and maintenance of voice, data and structured cabling solutions to contracting, enterprise and public-sector clients.

DSW has appointed Luke Pedley as a Corporate Finance Associate in its Yorkshire & North East Corporate Finance team

Pedley  joins Dow Schofield Watts, an independent corporate advisory firm, from RSM Corporate Finance.

He graduated with a degree in English Language from the University of Manchester in 2010 and then attained a law degree whilst working in at a growing e-commerce start-up in London.

Pedley joined the RSM Corporate Finance team in 2014 where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Client experience includes technology, infrastructure, manufacturing and healthcare amongst others.

The Yorkshire & North East DSW team now numbers 14 professionals across its Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Forensic and Wealth Advisory disciplines. Further appointments are anticipated later this year.

The credentials of the DSW team and the wide range of transactions and clients, drew me to the firm. Chris Wright has been promoted to Production Director at waste heat recovery specialist Green’s. Most recently the company’s factory manager, Chris joined Green’s as a draftsman in 1995 and moved on to become a project engineer and then a sales engineer and sales manager before he took over responsibility for manufacturing operations in 2016.

Green’s managing sirector Matthew Crewe said: “As a manufacturing based company it is essential that production is key to our strategic direction. Chris’ significant experience of our business and how it has changed over the years will bring invaluable insight to board discussions and decisions.”

Sheffield solicitors, Taylor&Emmet LLP, is welcoming a new specialist solicitor to its business legal services division.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is joining the firm to handle all types of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers, acquisitions and disposals.
