Developer unveils housing plans for North Yorkshire village

Gregory Homes, the residential arm of Yorkshire developer Gregory Property Group, has acquired a two acre site in the Nidderdale village of Dacre Banks with plans to deliver a residential scheme as part of a joint venture with Ridgefield Property.

The partnership has secured planning to build 22 two, three and four bedroom houses on the site which was a former filling station on Church Hill, overlooking the River Nidd.

Andrew Foggitt, development director at Gregory Homes, said: “We are pleased to acquire this site which is very much in keeping with the prestige nature of our residential portfolio. ‘Church View’ will offer a select number of prestige homes of traditional character and in keeping with the local environment.”

As part of the development, the partnership will support the local area through Section 106 contributions.  This includes more than £35,000 to upgrade Dacre and Hartwith Village Hall and an £8,000 contribution to outdoor sports facilities in the form of improvements to Darley Head Cricket Ground.
