Chief executive “driven by creating prosperity” to take to the stage

Kersten England

Later this week, Kersten England, Chief Executive of Bradford Council, will talk about her “eclectic career path” within the public, private and voluntary sectors – as well as self-employment.

Kersten is the speaker at TheBusinessDesk.com’s Women In Business lunch on Friday (October 13). Her career has also included lecturing at postgraduate level in management, equalities, african and 20th century British history.

The last few days remain to secure places and tickets are available online.

England says she is: “Driven by belief in individual and organisational capabilities and potential.”

Her current role has been to drive Bradford through a period of deep economic recession and significant redefinition of the policy and fiscal landscape for local government. She adds that the key to this has been: “To keep the organisation focused on core purpose – the creation of prosperity for the place and its people, now and for the future.”
