Henry Boot sells £2m unit

Henry Boot Developments has completed the sale of the final unit at its Thorne Park industrial scheme in Doncaster, with unit 4 purchased for £2.14m.

Thorne Park is a development of over 150,000 sq ft of prime industrial and warehouse space located at Junction 6 of the M18, providing access to the motorway and rail network.

The 30,500 sq ft building benefits from 8 metre eaves, 50 kNm2 floor loading, shower and washroom facilities along with  offices. Its layout and design is flexible to suit occupier requirements. Highly energy efficient with the inclusion of rooftop solar panels, the building also has a BREEAM ‘very good’ rating.

Vivienne Clements, Director at Henry Boot Developments, said: “The sale of unit 4 now draws our speculative Thorne Park development to a close. The high specification units are a real point of difference in the market, while the location offers businesses significant operational advantages – it’s great to see the scheme fully let and occupiers thriving.”

2017 has been a successful year to date for Henry Boot Developments with several landmark projects underway throughout the UK, including the new Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, Markham Vale Derbyshire, The Chocolate Works in York, the Imperial Tobacco site in Nottingham, and Kampus, a £250million mixed-use scheme in Manchester city centre.

UK wide, 2016 saw Henry Boot Developments build out 875,000 sq ft space, pre-fund £600m worth of development and enter into £306m worth of building contracts. Its schemes comprise a range of delivery arrangements, from JVs with local authorities and other development partners, to projects being completed independently.

Eaton Associates, JLL and Atkinson Associates acted on behalf of Henry Boot Developments.
