Victorian Mill attracts five tenants

A host of tenants have signed up to a refurbished office complex in a Victorian Mill in Leeds.

Carter Towler and Feather Smailes Scales have secured five new tenants for Mabgate Mills in Leeds for owner MTD Coln Industrial.

Carter Towler director Richard Fraser said: “I’m sure all five companies – The Data Shed, Style Grab, Shot by Sodium,, Bodhi Yoga Studio and WEC International – will settle in well at Mabgate.
“There’s a thriving business community developing here with a great mix of new start-ups and more established businesses. It’s proving to be particularly popular with creative companies such as those involved with design, music, yoga and dance and we have several further units under offer.

“There are still a number of suites available and we are able to offer a range of flexible deals on a number of different space options including workshops, studios, showrooms and offices. In addition to the work spaces themselves, tenants have access to on-site car parking, secure bike storage and shower facilities, and it’s all just a few minutes’ walk from the bus station, the new Victoria Gate shopping development and a good number of cafes and bars. It really is an up and coming, edge of town, business location.”

Mabgate Mills was acquired in February 2016 and the new owners have since invested over £250,000 in refurbishing the mills and the courtyard to date.

Sam Sherrard, director of asset management for the owners said: “I am delighted that the investment in Mabgate Mills is appealing to the market and we have attracted a very good mix of new occupiers and artistic companies to the development. We can now offer a good range of space starting from small incubator units up to 4,000 sq ft suites.”
