People: CPP adds to property and asset management division, JCT600 expands footprint; and more

Commercial Property Partners has expanded its property and asset management division after welcoming a trio of recruits.

The team expansion follows a number of recent new instructions including The Grain and Terminal Warehouse at Victoria Quays in Sheffield and a national property and asset management contract.

Julie Mills joins the team as financial controller and service charge accountant from Lambert Smith Hampton following over 25 years in the property accounts industry. She brings a wealth of financial knowledge and service charge experience to the team, and will be overseeing the service charge accounts for all managed properties.

Sarah Staite joins the property and asset management team at CPP from learndirect, where she spent nine years as property and facilities manager, overseeing the management of a number of both local and national properties and the statutory compliance across a nationwide portfolio.

Julie Statham also joins the CPP team from learndirect, following four years as property helpdesk manager, whose main duties include overseeing the in-house helpdesk function and supervising and coordinating the work of contractors for all reactive and planned maintenance works across CPP’s managed portfolio.

JCT600 Vehicle Leasing Solutions (VLS), the specialist leasing and fleet management division of independent Yorkshire-based motor firm JCT600, is continuing to extend its geographic reach with the appointment of James Mackintosh as regional sales manager covering the North East of England and Scotland.

Mackintosh has 15 years’ experience in the motor industry, most recently working as a business development manager for FMG in Sunderland.  He has also worked as a regional manager for Car Benefit Solutions; as a regional fleet sales manager for Vertu Motors; and held various positions with Hyundai Motor UK.

He will be responsible for maximising the growth of prospects for JCT600 VLS within the contract hire and fleet management marketplaces as well as seeking to retain and grow existing clients via account management and consultancy.

Paul Walters, managing director of JCT600 VLS, said: “We are continuing to build our sales capability as we expand across the UK and introduce new services to our core product areas.  With his strong track record in the motor sector, James will be a welcome addition to the team.”

A Yorkshire asbestos surveying company is on target to grow its team by 50% this year after recruiting new employees, with further appointments planned within the next few months.

RPP Asbestos Services is part of leading construction consultancy Rex Procter & Partners (RPP), which operates across offices in Leeds, Bradford, Marlow and London.

The specialist asbestos division was established in 2008.

RPP Asbestos Services now employs a nine-strong team after appointing Dean Lambert as an asbestos consultant and Carl Smith a trainee asbestos surveyor.  The company plans to recruit at least two more consultants in the coming months.

Craig Reardon, divisional director at RPP Asbestos Services, said: “This year has been hugely rewarding, with us winning a wide range of national work from a number of household names, and as a result we’re delighted to welcome Dean and Carl to our team. We’re now currently looking for additional asbestos professionals to join our team over the coming months.”
