A former Business Masters Award winner, TheBigWord, has confirmed their deputy CEO will be one of the judges for the prestigious event – for which nominations are now open.

Diane Cheesebrough, of TheBigWord, will be one of the panel of judges at TheBusinessDesk.com’s Yorkshire awards dinner being held on Thursday, April 26 at the Queens Hotel in Leeds. TheBigWord was the winner of the large business category of the Business Masters Awards run by TheBusinessDesk.com this year.

Fellow judges on the panel include Ken Cooke, Master Cutler of Sheffield, and Professor George Lodorfos, Dean of the Business School at Leeds Beckett University.

Cheesebrough said: “At thebigword we are avid readers of the TheBusinessDesk.com and were delighted to be able to enter the Yorkshire Business Masters Awards, showcasing growing and successful businesses across our region.

“It’s great to work in a company like thebigword where we have great people and great products delivering services to companies across the globe. We were absolutely delighted to be awarded the Large Business Award especially as we were up against such phenomenal businesses.

thebigword is in the top 20 language companies in the world and is the largest interpreting services provider in Europe. It works with a range of major government departments, including the Ministry of Justice and the NYC Department of Education, as well as blue chip companies and brands on a global scale. The company has 11 offices around the world, employs over 600 staff and utilises the services of more than 15,000 linguists.

“We are incredibly proud of our continued growth and plans to become one of the top five global language service providers within five years,” added Cheesebrough.

“Personally I was honoured to be asked to join the judging panel for next years’ Business Masters. I’m really looking forward to learning about great businesses across Yorkshire, so I’m hoping that even more businesses enter the awards this year.”
