Keyland Developments, the property trading arm of Kelda Group and sister company to Yorkshire Water, has completed almost £1m of site sales.

The sites at Holme Barn, Hartshead Moor Top, Baildon Reservoir and Thornton Filter House have all sold with planning permission in place to regenerate the sites for residential use.

Holme Barn, located off Woodhead Road in Holme within the Peak District National Park, sold to a private developer for £170,000. The property comprises a single vacant natural stone barn which will be sensitively converted into a holiday let, securing a purpose and long-term future for the presently derelict building.

Hartshead Moor Top is a site adjacent to Hartshead Reservoir with planning consent in place for the development of four new homes. Local housebuilder, Barnes Homes, has purchased the site for £275,000 to develop four residential properties fronting Halifax Road.

A local buyer has purchased Keyland’s Baildon site which is located within an existing residential area just one mile from Baildon Town Centre for £320,000. The site currently comprises an area of brownfield land currently used by Yorkshire Water and planning is in place to construct two properties, accessible from West Lane.

Thornton Filter House is a disused water treatment building located on Close Head Lane in Thornton, Bradford, which sold at auction for £151,000. Built in 1926, the disused filter house is on a site of approximately 0.95 acres and comprises the main filter house, two outbuildings and the old water tanks, providing an ideal opportunity for restoration.

Ryan Unsworth, dvelopment manager of Keyland Developments Ltd, said; “We are delighted to have completed the sales on four unique development sites in Yorkshire. The redundant sites provide ideal opportunities for developers and individuals to regenerate disused buildings and vacant land for residential use. The sites all attracted strong interest due to their good locations and the varying opportunities they presented demonstrating the continued buoyancy within the regional residential land market.”
