People: Director appointment at law firm; SWFC appoints new CEO; New CEO for Panintelligence; and more

Emsleys Solicitors has appointed John Hutchings, a personal injury solicitor, as a director at the firm.

With more than 14 years’ experience in the personal injury field,Hutchings is an expert in employer’s liability claims.

He also specialises in high value cases relating to brain and spinal cord injury and traumatic amputation.

Hutchings said: “I am looking forward to further developing the Emsleys brand and also sharing my experience to ensure the personal injury team continues to grow.”

Director and head of personal injury, Andrew Greenwood, said: “The appointment recognises John’s contribution to the leadership of a progressive and successful team.”

Sheffield Wednesday FC has  appointed Katrien Meire as chief executive.

Meire takes up her new role immediately having stepped down as a director and CEO at Charlton Athletic at the end of 2017. She joined the Addicks in January 2014 from Belgium outfit Standard Liege, where she served as Legal and International Relations Manager.

She has a background in law and is also a Council Member of the Football Association.

Meire said: “I am so pleased to take up the position of CEO at Sheffield Wednesday. This is a massive challenge at a massive club and I am looking forward to beginning this journey.

“The chairman has very exciting plans for the club in the short and long term, and I bought into his vision immediately.

“The size of the club and fan base at Hillsborough is renowned in the football world, which were key factors in my decision to join.”

Owls chairman Dejphon Chansiri added:“Katrien’s appointment is a key development for our club and one which I am delighted to make.

“I have said for some time that I would only appoint a CEO should the right person fit my specification to lead the structure of Sheffield Wednesday on a day to day basis.

“I am 100% convinced I have found that person in Katrien and I am delighted to confirm her appointment.”

Leeds-based Panintelligence has appointed sales and marketing director Zandra Moore as CEO.

The business intelligence and analytics developer distributes its software through technology partners who white-label and embed the software into their solutions.

The company competes with US giants such as Microsoft, Tableau, and Looker.

“In the last three years, we have quadrupled turnover, tripled staff numbers, and grown our partner base from 15 to over 80 partners. We have grown our partners across a range of sectors with significant presence in Fintech, Education, and Healthcare sectors, and our partners include Equiniti, Premfina, ACI, Tribal, RM, Capita, Wellbeing, and Sage,” said Moore.

Founder Mike Cripps added: “I have long seen Zandra as my natural successor and I am delighted to announce that from the beginning of the year, she has stepped up to CEO. Zandra is an innovative thinker and a great communicator who will continue to put our partners and people at the heart of everything we do.”

The project and building consultancy team of Colliers International in the North has almost doubled in size with four new recruits joining the department across Colliers’ Manchester and Leeds offices.

In Manchester, Jonathan Stirzaker-Philips joins as a senior surveyor from CBRE with four years’ experience in building consultancy.

Gavin Foxton joins the Northern team and will split his time between Colliers’ Manchester and Leeds offices. Foxton was formerly part of the London Project Management team at Bollingbrook and moved over to Colliers following the firm’s acquisition of the commercial building consultancy firm in October 2016.

Coinciding with his relocation to Colliers’ Northern team, Foxton has been promoted to associate director and will head the firm’s project management offering in the North.

The team has also taken on two new graduate surveyors, Cameron Reekie and Richard Chandler, who will be based in Manchester and Leeds respectively.
