Relocation for Leeds Building Society HQ

Leeds Building Society is to move its headquarters from its current base on Albion Street in the city to Sovereign Street.

It is understood that the society is to move its head office staff to the empty offices that formerly housed Addleshaw Goddard before the law firm moved across to Sovereign Square. However, the society’s Albion Street base will remain in use by the Leeds Building Society and it will take a couple of years for the staff to move across.

Leeds Building Society has grown in staff numbers, resulting in employees having to be based across a number of sites currently.

Peter Hill, chief executive, said: “We’ve been in Leeds for over 140 years and I’m delighted that we’ve secured a building which keeps us in the heart of the city. This move is part of our of long term plans for the sustainable growth of the Society and demonstrates our commitment to Leeds and Yorkshire.”
