Construction of two new housing projects underway

Construction firm Esh Group will help to deliver much-needed homes in Leeds with two new projects for Connect Housing Association and Unity Housing.

The projects, worth £2.7m, will see eight two bedroom houses built in Bramley for Connect Housing Association and six homes with external works developed for Unity Housing. Both works will take 35 weeks and are underway.

Andy Radcliffe, chief executive of Esh Group, said: “Leeds is a thriving city that is growing and needs new good quality housing to meet demand. It is great to support two leading social housing providers in delivering projects in Bramley and Kirkstall.”

The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) recently announced the appointment of Esh Group to a new £8bn national housing delivery panel. The Delivery Partner Panel 3 (DPP3) scheme focuses on the procurement of work to deliver residential-led development on public sector land.

The programme will run for four years and is expected to generate housing contracts that total £1.6bn in the North East, Yorkshire and Humber region over that time frame.
