Building consultancy firm opens first Yorkshire office

Project and Building Consultancy Anderton Gables has opened its first office in Yorkshire as the firm continues its northern expansion.

The 10-year-old firm of building surveyors, project managers and quantity surveyors has opened in Sheffield to complement its existing Manchester and Preston offices.

The new office will be headed up by John MacMillan, senior associate, who moves across from the firm’s Manchester office having joined from RLB’S Sheffield office. MacMillan will be supported by director, Jonathan Shaw.

Shaw said: “Expanding into Yorkshire is part of our three-year plan and came along slightly early due to the level of demand and opportunities in the region. We are committed to providing enhanced geographic coverage and with clients such as Sheffield Insulation Group and Travis Perkins active within the region it was an easy decision.”

MacMillan added: “There is a huge amount of investment in Sheffield around the student population and we have already been instructed to project manage a million-pound new-build accommodation block.”

The Sheffield office will be located in the city centre.
