Developer launches first Sheffield student living project

Leeds-based developer, Oakapple Group, has submitted a planning application to Sheffield City Council for the company’s first student living scheme.

Working in partnership with Lojj Student Living, the scheme comprises 63 luxury en-suite bedrooms in cluster flat formation, together with commercial retail space at ground floor and basement parking.

The scheme is located next to The Grapes public house on Trippet Lane.

Philip Taylor, chairman of the Oakapple Group, said: ‘We are delighted to be working in partnership with Lojj, and excited at working in Sheffield with such a forward thinking local authority who are actively promoting student life in the city.

“We have a talented team of local Sheffield professionals on board, led by aad architects and Edge Property Solutions. We hope the scheme will be received favourably by officers and members alike.”

If approved, Lojj Student Living will welcome students in the September 2019 intake.
