Continued success at newly refurbished landmark Leeds building

The Leeming Building

This month’s property column by Sanderson Weatherall.

Following the completion of Phase 2 of the Leeming Building in December 2017 the Grade-I listed office building has gone from strength to strength with a large percentage of the office space let or currently under offer.

A Grade I listed building, the Leeming Building was originally constructed as the trader’s offices for Leeds City Markets and holds a prominent position alongside the landmark Victoria Gate development.

The building has undergone a substantial transformation that has taken place in two phases which included the addition of communal break-out spaces on each floor, high quality LA Marzocco coffee machines, a brand-new reception atrium, air conditioning, internal bike storage and shower facilities and LED lighting throughout.

Dominic Towler, office agent in our Leeds office said: “The Leeming Building is an exciting and innovative working environment that is unlike any other in Leeds. The significant interest since completion in April 2017 is proof of the success of the development.

“Phase 1 of the building is currently 51% occupied or under offer and Phase 2 is 87% occupied or under offer with a few remaining suites. There are still a number of unique, design-led spaces available in the iconic building that would be suited to a variety of businesses and we would be welcome speaking to any interested parties.”

Following completion of the internal works, the owners now look set to focus their efforts on the externals of the building, with current proposed work including a refurbishment of the office entrances and new outdoor lighting.

Our Leeds office agency team are acting as joint office agents on the property alongside WSB Property Consultants.
