Refurbishment and new owners for village pub near Harrogate

The Royal Oak in Burton Leonard near Harrogate has re-opened following its sale and a major refurbishment.

The pub was sold through the Leeds office of leisure property specialists Fleurets to Steve Footman and his partner Lisa Jackson.

Nick Thomas from Fleurets said: “It is pleasing to see that the Royal Oak has been sold to experienced publicans and I am sure that, with the plans that Steve and Lisa have, it will go from strength to strength in their ownership.”

The Royal Oak was sold for an undisclosed sum off an asking price of £295,000.

Fleurets acted on behalf of retiring owners, John and Julie Burrows, who have been at the Royal Oak since 2001.
