Software developer embarks on scale-up programme

Leeds-headquartered software developer Audacia is on track for further growth, as it embarks on a scale-up programme for innovative enterprise companies.

Audacia is one of ten scale ups to be accepted onto the 12-week PwC Scale Yorkshire programme, which aims to help innovators grow by providing masterclasses and connecting them to key decision makers such as corporate executives and investors.

The programme is run by the global professional services firm in partnership with Leeds technology hub Futurelabs. It has already been successfully implemented by PwC in four other regions across the UK within specific sectors including commerce, health and HR.

During March and April, Audacia will have access to potential clients and investors, with three private pitch events including an executive evening, investors’ day and programme finale.

Audacia specialises in developing problem-solving technology for complex business-critical projects. Clients include global mechanical seals manufacturer AESSEAL, leading interior lining systems manufacturer British Gypsum (part of the Saint-Gobain group), international grain trader Gleadell and international vehicle hire company Europcar.

Founded in 2010, Audacia has doubled its headcount to 32, expanded into a larger office space on The Calls and opened an office in central London in the last 12 months, as part of its strategic growth plans.

Managing director Philip White said: “We have already established a strong reputation as a critical technology partner, and this programme will help us reach an influential audience of potential clients and partners. We specialise in helping global businesses solve large-scale complex projects and being able to showcase our approach is vital for securing our continued expansion.

“It’s a real vote of confidence from PwC for us to be selected as one of Yorkshire’s leading technology companies and we look forward to taking advantage of the opportunities on offer in the programme.”

PwC Scale Yorkshire lead, Josh Harvey, added: “PwC are looking for well-established companies with validated products, finance and scalability. Audacia is a prime example of this, it shows strong performance and boasts an impressive client and project portfolio. It’s one of the most promising technology companies in Yorkshire and we’re delighted to have them as part of the programme.”
