Where do you live/where are you from?

I’m from Staffordshire but I now live in Morley.

What is your favourite place to visit in Yorkshire and why?

The Dales – I’m a big nature fan and the open moors are great for bird watching.

What is still on your “to do” list in the region?

Visit all six of the Betty’s tea rooms!

What is the most memorable meal you’ve ever had in Yorkshire?

Vegetable lasagne at the Wensleydale creamery – it’s my favourite meal

What is your most Yorkshire trait?

I can be a straight talker – sometimes it’s best not to beat around the bush and say things the Yorkshire way!

Favourite piece of trivia about the region.

The tallest ever Englishman was a Yorkshireman. William Bradley was 7ft9 inches and made appearances at fairs all over England under the name ‘the Yorkshire giant’. He was from Market Weighton!

What/who is your favourite cultural icon to come out of Yorkshire?

The Yorkshire Pudding, of course!

Worst experience or thing about Yorkshire?

It is quite a few degrees colder than the Midlands

What is the most overrated thing about Yorkshire?

Their football teams!
