People: Law firm adds to property department; Expansion for Harrogate accountancy firm; and more

Williamsons Solicitors has boosted its property and conveyancing departments with two appointments.

Carey Robinson, who is the next president of Scarborough Law Society, has joined the firm in Driffield and Rachael McClean is based in the Hull office, after moving from Liverpool.

Robinson specialises in commercial and residential law and has gained experience with other firms in the Hull-York region.

This follows a degree in law and criminology from Sheffield University and being commended on her legal practice course at York.

McClean specialises in all aspects of residential conveyancing including sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity and was previously with Liverpool practice Morecrofts.

Carol Beeley has joined Wild & Co Chartered Accountants in Harrogate from the Financial Management in Schools Team at North Yorkshire County Council.

She brings more than 20 years’ experience to the firm, adding to the combined four decades in practice of Liz and Graham Wild.

“Carol is a fantastic addition to Wild & Co and we’re delighted to be able to offer her expertise to our clients,” said Liz Wild.

“She has worked across a range of sectors, including financial services and education, which complements our experience with SMEs and in financial planning.”

Liz Wild founded Wild & Co Chartered Accountants in 2009 and was joined by husband Graham in 2015.

PR agency Grayling has bolstered its Northern team with the appointment of Sarah Gough as associate director in its Leeds office.

Reporting to head of Northern region, Billy Partridge, Gough joins from integrated marketing agency We Are Boutique, where she was head of earned media having founded the agency’s PR department in 2014.
