Weekender: New vendors spice up Trinity Kitchen

Street food vendors Jah Jyot, Angus McVenison, Chimney Chicks, Gondola Raclette and Vincenzo the Prosecco Van have arrived at Trinity Kitchen alongside the return of Mediterranean favourite Eat Like a Greek and Thai street food offering BangWok.

Trinity Kitchen’s latest street food line-up offers flavours from across the globe to Leeds shoppers for the next five weeks.

Jah Jyot offers authentic, locally-sourced Punjabi street food, serving everything from samosas and thali plates to their signature masala dosa.

Angus McVenison has travelled to Leeds from the highlands of Scotland, ready to show shoppers a true taste of the north. Their signature dish of wild venison steak, Arran cheese and hot beetroot chutney served in a Scottish morning roll.

For something sweet, family-run vendors Chimney Chicks is serving up traditional Hungarian favourite Chimney Cakes, also known as Kürtőskalács – a crispy dough cone loaded with fillings such as brownies, Nutella, fresh strawberry coulis and ice cream.

New to Trinity Kitchen is Gondola Raclette. Inspired by hearty food served up to skiers in The Alps, Gondola Raclette smothers melted cheese over British potatoes, silverskin onions, pink peppercorns, cornichons and cured meats.

To wash it all down, visitors can enjoy a unique glass of bubbly thanks to Vicenzo the Prosecco Van, with a range of fruity flavour combinations to choose from.

Returning to Trinity Kitchen due to popular demand is Eat Like a Greek, which is bringing its fresh, healthy and unique Mediterranean cuisine back to Leeds. The family business uses locally-sourced meats, and their seasonings and oils come straight from their farm.

Also returning is BangWok, offering shoppers a range of sweet, sour and spicy authentic Thai dishes, such as their sriracha fried rice served with grilled meats.

Dan Wharton, marketing manager at Trinity Leeds, said: “We’re very excited for this latest Trinity Kitchen changeover as we welcome a whole host of new names, as well as some old favourites.

“At Trinity Kitchen we pride ourselves on delivering the very best of the British street food scene and our vendors are excellent examples of that.

“Whether it’s a tall, refreshing glass of Prosecco or melt-in-the-mouth Scottish venison, there’s something for everyone to savour and enjoy.”

The new arrivals will be at Trinity Kitchen until May 20, trading alongside permanent outlets Chicago Rib Shack, Chip + Fish, Duck ’n Roll, Pho, Rola Wala, Tortilla and Absurd Bird.
