People: Law firm welcomes new FD and trio of recruits; Property firm makes promotions; and more

Andrew Jackson Solicitors is looking ahead to the new financial year with a new financial director and the appointment of three newly-qualified solicitors.

Rachel Joyce and Harry Mills have taken up roles with the firm’s litigation and commercial property teams based in Hull, while Grace Moreton remains with the corporate department in the York office.

Managing partner, Mark Pearson-Kendall, said: “Having undertaken their training contracts with the firm, Rachel, Harry and Grace have already developed strong relationships with our clients and have shown their commitment to providing them with trusted, commercial legal advice. I have every confidence that they will continue to make a valuable contribution to our combined achievements, and we’re very pleased to have them on board as we look ahead to a very busy new financial year across our departments and offices.”

In addition, Peter Taylor, who recently joined the firm as financial director, is looking forward to the new financial year.

GVA has announced three promotions in its Leeds office as its team grows in strength after a successful start to the year.

Anne Hargreaves has been named director in planning, Jill Goodman has been appointed director in lease advisory and Helen Gelsthorpe has been promoted to associate in business rates.

iSource Group, the IT, digital and change recruitment specialist based in Leeds, has expanded its team.

Joining the business as recruitment consultants, new starters Alistair Holmes, Liam Whitehurst and Jack Dagwell will generate new business and manage the recruitment process for existing clients and candidates.

Meanwhile, Sam Hameed, who has been with the company for seven years, has been promoted from head of practice (IT, architecture and software development) to recruitment director. The move to the new role will see him take responsibility for all divisions, including the management of a 16-strong team of recruitment consultants.

Hameed said: “As a longstanding employee and supporter of the business, I’m proud to be able to take on additional responsibility which will see the business continue to grow and strengthen its leading presence within the IT, digital and change recruitment arena.
