Web development firm snaps up digital safeguarding business
Leeds-based Smoothwall, the developer of web filtering and monitoring solutions, has acquired digital safeguarding company Future Digital.
The acquisition comes as Smoothwall continues to grow its presence in the UK and internationally following the appointment of former Tesla director Georg Ell in May this year.
In acquiring Future Digital, Smoothwall is adding to its existing portfolio of safeguarding and filtering solutions. Future Digital provides real-time, cloud-based, monitoring solutions with highly visual and intuitive dashboards.
Smoothwall said the technology complemented its Visigo offering, which also offers human-moderated monitoring and advanced AI capabilities. By offering both solutions, Smoothwall is now able to provide customers with a range of safeguarding options.

Future Digital’s 2000 plus existing customers will see no disruption in service and support.
