A new annual event preparing to bring world class tennis to the iconic Hazelwood Castle has almost sold out.

Berry’s Tennis Classic is launching its inaugural tournament June 27 – 28 this year. Destined to become Yorkshire’s most elegant garden party, record numbers have reserved tables.

Tennis legends from around the globe including 2001 Wimbledon Champion Goran Ivanisevic, flamboyant Frenchman Henri Leconte, Belgium’s former No1 ‘X’ Man, Xavier Malisse, and Moroccan legend Younes Al Eynaoui will battle it out on Hazelwood Castle’s very own purpose built centre court.

The event hosts, 100 Events, who acquired the annual tennis event in Cheshire, expressed their delight that the Leeds event has echoed the success of its Cheshire counterpart, Boodles Tennis, which has welcomed a golden list of former tennis greats to its courts over the years.

Berry’s Tennis Classic spokesman, Matt Haycox, said: “We are extremely pleased with how well received the inaugural Berry’s Tennis Classic has been in Yorkshire. There is so much to look forward to and those people attending will get to see genuine tennis legends play live whilst enjoying some of Yorkshire’s best hospitality this summer.”

Acclaimed jewelers Berry’s is the title sponsor for the two-day event. Sedulo Financial Consultants, Catfoss, Authentic Alehouses & Burning Night Group are also associate sponsors. TheBusinessDesk.com is the media sponsor.
