Weekender: Catwalk poised for first Harrogate Fashion Week

The inaugural Harrogate Fashion Week being is to be held at the Harrogate Convention Centre (HCC) from 29-30 July.

Organiser Wendy Adams and Joe Manby, which is providing event services, said the event marks the return of the fashion industry to Harrogate for the first time in 15 years, with a history in the town dating back over 40 years.

The show will subsequently run twice yearly in January and July at the same venue.

Joe Manby will provide a comprehensive range of integrated event services for the show including graphics, shell scheme and electrics.

Adams said: “Bringing fashion back to Harrogate was an easy decision. Extensive exhibition space means that there’s plenty of room for the show to grow and its location in the heart of a fantastic spa town is perfect for mixing business with pleasure.

“We are delighted to appoint Joe Manby Limited as our main partner for event services for the newly launched Harrogate Fashion Week. I have previously worked with the team on The Flooring Show, Harrogate Bridal Show and London Bridal Show and they always give an extremely efficient and very personal service.

Richard Manby, director at Joe Manby Limited, said: “We are delighted to be working with Wendy again and confident this will be a growing show. Adding a new event to our portfolio is always a pleasure particularly when it is on our own home patch.  Harrogate does everything with panache and we wish all success to all those involved with the show.”
