CEO at £200m-turnover acquisitive firm to take to the stage

A chief executive who has led the growth of a £200m-turnover firm is to speak at TheBusinessDesk.com’s upcoming leaders lunch.

Andy Kendall-Jones is the driving force behind Leeds-based Southerns Group, one of the UK’s leading Furniture, Fittings & Equipment providers. He has overseen the acquisition and integration of several businesses to create the Southerns Group, an entity with a turnover that amasses over £200m and employs over 250 members of staff.

At this event, to be held on September 28 at the Dakota Hotel in Leeds, Kendall-Jones will talk about his career, his views on the Yorkshire business market at present, details of recent acquisitions and why the region has been a perfect location for the firm’s growth. He will also discuss challenges and opportunities and what his ambitions are for the future.

Instead of solely adding to turnover, he has strived to create a group that is unique and long lasting. His successful approach has seen sales increase by 70% during the last three years, leading to the Southerns Group ranking 37th in the most recent Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100.

In December 2017, Central Square Holdings Limited (CSHL) acquired both Styles & Wood and Southerns, an opportunity to create an enlarged group with capabilities across the full spectrum of support services to the built environment.

Kendall-Jones’ current position is that of CSHL shareholder and board member, contributing to the strategic direction of the group.
