Weekender: Leeds cookery school gets crafty

Whether you’re a food fanatic, a craft- ale addict, or you fancy giving lampshade making or plant-based cosmetics a go, then you might be surprised to find that you can do all of the above and more at Leeds-based cookery school Get Cooking this autumn.

Based in Farsley, the cookery school has branched out since opening its doors in 2016.

Emily Carey, director and business owner, said: “We’ve been working hard to offer a broader range of crafting and wellbeing courses and workshops to Leeds, something that sets us apart from your typical cookery school.

“Whilst our focus is always on making authentic cooking accessible, we also wanted to help people maximise their home life , do more of what they love and take on new challenges that can ultimately be lifestyle transforming.

“That’s why we’re offering brand new workshops in things such as cosmetics and herbalism so our audience can try something life enhancing.”

People can choose from a packed autumn programme including a series of typically three to four hour long fast cooking courses, including a Spanish vegan cooking course.
