My Yorkshire: Richard Slee, CEO of Adare SEC

Richard Slee is the chief executive of Huddersfield-based firm Adare SEC, a technology-led communication solutions business which prints tickets for events including the FA Premier League.

Where do you live/where are you from?
I live just outside Harrogate and was born in Leeds.

What is your favourite place to visit in Yorkshire and why?
Sutton Bank because it has great views and it’s really good for a dog walk.

What is still on your “to do” list in the region?
I would really like to see the World Snooker Championships at the Crucible in Sheffield.

What is the most memorable meal you’ve ever had in Yorkshire?
The Man Behind the Curtain, in Leeds.

What is your most Yorkshire trait?
Eating Yorkshire puddings as a starter before the main Sunday roast!

Favourite piece of trivia about the region?
That man’s first ‘flight’ was in Yorkshire.

What/who is your favourite cultural icon to come out of Yorkshire?
The musician, Bill Nelson.

Worst experience/or thing about Yorkshire?
The M62!

What is one thing you’d steal from Lancashire (or other UK regions) if you could?
England international and Manchester City’s defender, John Stones! I’d get him to play for Leeds United (but only because he’s a Yorkshireman!)

What is the most overrated thing about Yorkshire?
I can’t think of anything!
