New deputy editor appointed at TheBusinessDesk.com

TheBusinessDesk.com has appointed a new deputy editor to help lead its presence in the Yorkshire region.

Nick Hill joined the team at the end of August and is now based at the company’s Leeds office at The Round Foundry Media Centre.

TheBusinessDesk.com, currently in its 11th year, now operates in four regions, with teams on the ground in the North West, West Midlands and East Midlands.

Hill has already established himself among the Yorkshire business community through his previous role as the Yorkshire editor of Bdaily. In his new role, he will be responsible for delivering content about a range of sectors.
Commenting on his new role, Hill said: “I am extremely excited to be joining a company with such a revered reputation in the region. At TheBusinessDesk.com I will be supporting our editor Kayley continue to source and deliver breaking business news across the whole of Yorkshire.

“I valued my time in my previous role and am looking forward to a new challenge reporting on and meeting many of the region’s business companies, leaders and influencers. I am eager to delve deeper into Yorkshire’s ever-growing business community, and help TheBusinessDesk.com continue to grow.”

With many events lined up for the autumn, Hill joins the team ahead of very a busy period delivering even more informative lunches, seminars and roundtables. The team is also preparing to host the inaugural Yorkshire Leadership Awards on November 28 at The Queens in Leeds.

Hill joins Kayley Worsley, who was appointed as the firm’s Yorkshire editor in August last year. In December, Alex Turner and Lee-J Walker completed an MBO of TheBusinessDesk.com and the business is continuing to record strong traffic growth.

Worsley said: “It has been an incredibly busy 12 months for TheBusinessDesk.com and also for businesses across the region looking to navigate the headwinds and grow in a challenging marketplace.

“I am really pleased to welcome Nick to the team and am sure that with this addition we will be able to grow our presence even further and expand upon our successful events programme right across the region.”
