Weekender: Hilton Garden Inn Doncaster Racecourse officially opens

The first Hilton property has officially opened in Doncaster with the launch of Hilton Garden Inn Doncaster Racecourse.

Situated on the grounds of the racecourse, Hilton Garden Inn Doncaster Racecourse offers 154 guest rooms, all equipped with the latest technology. This includes Digital Key, Hilton’s mobile-enabled room key technology that allows guests to securely unlock their room door using their smartphone.  

The hotel is minutes away from Lakeside Village shopping centre, Doncaster Dome, museums, art galleries, golf courses, and markets.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park is also just under a 15-minute drive and Cusworth Hall is only 30 minutes away.

The opening of the hotel coincides with the start of the 2018 William Hill St Leger Festival.

According to a recent report, Doncaster welcomed nearly 6.5 million visitors over a three-year period ending in 2015 – of those, it is estimated nearly 200,000 attended the St Leger horse racing festival.
