Plans secured for expansion of North Yorkshire apartment complex

Property developer Newby has secured planning approval from Harrogate Borough Council to expand its Springfield Court residential development.

The company, also based in Harrogate, set out proposals to add a further 26 luxury apartments to the scheme, bringing the total number of homes to 61.

The conversion and new build development will deliver a mix of bespoke one, two and three bedroom apartments, with private parking in a secure courtyard.

Each apartment will be high-spec featuring modern kitchens and Vessini bathroom suites, with the majority also benefiting from private terraces or balconies.

The conversion units are nearing completion and works on the new build homes is due to start on site imminently with a sales office and show home opening this month.

Springfield Court is located within walking distance of Harrogate’s town centre on Kings Road.

Nick Moody, director at Newby, said: “The residential market in Harrogate is buoyant and Springfield Court is an ideal site for further expansion with its close proximity to the town centre, so we are extremely pleased to receive planning consent to further develop this exclusive scheme.

“Each apartment will be renovated for 21st century living and will be serviced by a range of amenities, including secure parking. This is our third town centre development in recent years and is undoubtedly one of the largest town centre schemes to delivered in Harrogate for a long time.”
