Law firm doubles size of city centre office space

Law firm Bevan Brittan has announced plans to expand its Leeds city centre office by signing terms to double its Toronto Square space on a ten-year lease.

The expansion of its floor space comes as the firm’s 32 strong team is expected to double over the next 3-5 years.

Bevan Brittan’s Leeds office, which opened in September 2015, currently has ten partners. Notable clients include Yorkshire Housing; Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust; A Shade Greener; Hornbeam Park and Sheffield City Council.

Michael Boyd, head of the Leeds office at Bevan Brittan, said: “We are delighted to be doubling our space in Leeds. After three busy and successful years, this underlines our long-term commitment to the Yorkshire business community.

“We are here to stay, we’re growing and we greatly look forward to continuing to support private businesses and public organisations around the region and beyond. There is a vibrant economy here and we’re very happy to be part of it.”

Duncan Weir, managing partner at Bevan Brittan, added: “Our Leeds office is an important part of the firm and we are very pleased to be making the investment to enable it to grow in line with client demand for the future.

“Combined with our offices in Birmingham, Bristol and London, our Leeds operation gives us national reach and enables us to support the ambitious and active Northern economy. Members of the Leeds team also regularly work on national projects for clients around the country.

“We are taking the opportunity to refurbish the new office space which will be laid out in a way that supports flexible and agile working patterns.”

Bevan Brittan was advised in the deal by agents GVA.
