South Yorkshire manufacturer secures deal with ‘key player’ in the US

LabLogic Systems, a manufacturer of scientific equipment and software, has agreed a new deal with one of the world’s largest radiopharmaceutical manufacturers, SOFIE Inc.

The Sheffield-based company has secured a contract to install its PETra software at SOFIE Inc, has 16 radiopharmacy sites across the USA and serves over 425,000 patients and over 700 clinical practices each year.

Positive Emission Tomography (PET) is a rapidly developing medical imaging technique, which uses a radioactive pharmaceutical combined with a PET/CT scanner to provide diagnosis of many life-threatening conditions, including cancer and Alzheimer’s disease.

Melissa Moore, Chief Technology Officer at SOFIE Inc., said: “We are looking forward to streamlining our manufacturing and QC processes by rolling out PETra and believe that the partnership with LabLogic will have us well prepared.”

LabLogic’s PETra Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) software is used at sites all across the world. Last year the company held a user group in Vienna with 45 customers in attendance from 15 different countries.
