Law firm appoints fit out specialist to new city centre offices

Walker Morris is one step closer to moving into its 76,000 sq ft flagship premises in Leeds city centre.

The law firm has now appointed specialist fit out company, Overbury PLC, to the offices at 33 Wellington Street.

Overbury has been contracted to undertake the fit out of the internal floors to form reception, client meeting facilities, working floors, staff amenity and ancillary areas.

The fit out will include bespoke joinery, custom made lighting and feature artwork, together with complex services, acoustic and audio visual & communication requirements.

Walker Morris plans to complete the move to its new premises in Summer 2019.

Gavin Beevers, director of Fox Lloyd Jones and project manager for the scheme, said: “The internal fit out scheme designed by Strive and MRB will deliver an outstanding business environment and we are delighted to welcome Overbury to be a key part of the delivery.

“The external transformation of the building is already looking dramatic and the internal works will be equally impressive on completion.”

Dan Hooker, commercial director of Overbury Northern, added: “Walker Morris and its consultant team have carefully taken their time to engineer and design a stunning and highly engaging environment for their internal teams and clients at 33 Wellington Place.

“Overbury is delighted to be delivering this high quality scheme that will set a benchmark fit-out for the region and support the client in their continued success over the years to come.”
