£15m new homes development unveiled in East Yorkshire

Beal Homes has revealed plans for a new residential development in Beverley, East Yorkshire.

The housebuilder has announced that the £15m development will feature 55 luxury homes, offering three and four bedroom family homes with a choice of 11 different house types.

Work has begun on site infrastructure for the development, with construction of the new homes due to start early next year.

Named St. John’s Fold, the development is located just a short walk from  Beverley Minster.

Chris Murphy, associate land director at Beal Homes, said: “Beverley is one of the most popular places to live in East Yorkshire and well beyond. St. John’s Fold occupies a prime location within the town. It’s close to Beverley town centre and just a few minutes to transport links to Hull, York and Leeds.

“We’re already working on the site infrastructure and will soon start on the main access road. We aim to have completed the development within two years.”

Sue Waudby, Beal marketing and sales director, added: “Beverley is a beautiful and very popular place and we’ve been looking for the perfect location for an exclusive development in the town for quite some time.

“St. John’s Fold is in a lovely leafy setting on Woodmansey Mile, close to Long Lane, and within easy walking distance of all Beverley’s fabulous attractions, shops and restaurants. The development is likely to be especially popular with families due to its close proximity to Keldmarsh Primary and Beverley Grammar – both very good schools.

The development is named after St. John of Beverley who was the Bishop of Hexham and then York. He went on to found Beverley by building a monastery in the town and made the Minster a centre of pilgrimage.
